Every court official, high level representative of the Ministry of Justice of Morocco as well as all members of the High Council of the Judiciary, of the Higher judicial Institute and of the Office of the Public Prosecutor will meet for the last training session on new roles of judicial officials with regards to court management on 12 and 13 December 2017 in Agadir, El Jadida and Tanger. This event marks the end of an important 6-day training cycle which was opened to all judicial officials of the country to address the proposed themes of the programme: the organisation of a jurisdiction and roles of heads of jurisdictions; human resources management; budgetary and real estate management; security and communications. This training session follows-up on two other sessions which took place on 10-11 October and on 8-9 November 2017 in the above mentioned cities. This training, designed by the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice in co-operation with the Ministry of Justice of Morocco and the French Higher Judicial Institute is organised within the framework of the project: “Improving the functioning of justice in Morocco using the tools of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice", financed by the European Union, co-financed by the Council of Europe, and implemented by the CEPEJ. The European Union is committed alongside the Kingdom of Morocco with a programme to support financially the justice sector to assist with the implementation of the justice reform resulting in a major institutional reorganisation of the administration of justice. The heads of courts are the first concerned by this reform which in particular, aims to promote greater efficiency and improve the quality of the public service of justice on a day-to-day basis. This training is a follow-up of the work carried out by the CEPEJ with numerous Moroccan courts since 2012, in the framework of programs financed by the European Union.
