The CEPEJ group of experts in charge of the implementation of component II of the programme “Improving the quality and efficiency of the judicial system through infrastructure development and better management - Improvement of the way cases are handled by the judicial system by applying tried and tested methodologies developed by the CEPEJ” was in Zagreb, Croatia, for a first study visit, on 2 September 2014. The aim of this visit was to define the Ministry of Justice’s concerns and expectations as well as to present, for the CEPEJ experts, the CEPEJ’s tools for improving time management of court cases through SATURN guidelines and to discuss the schedule of activities planned under this programme. The CEPEJ experts also agreed with the Croatian judicial authorities on the statistical data that they shall provide, so that experts can begin to analyse the current Croatian judiciary.
