Evaluation cycle – participation of Morocco

A meeting with all the persons involved in the data collection process for the next cycle of evaluation of judicial systems carried out by the CEPEJ took place in Rabat on 14 November 2017. The meeting was organized at the initiative of the national correspondent representing Morocco and was attended by representatives of the different services of the concerned ministries, the Superior Council of the Judiciary, the Court of cassation and the Prosecutor General Office. The audience, composed of around 35 persons, reviewed in detail the CEPEJ Evaluation scheme. Mr Abderrafi EROUIHANE, Head of the Studies, Cooperation and Modernization Department of the Ministry of Justice, highlighted the efficient collaboration between CEPEJ and the working group established in Morocco and welcomed the work of the latter. Indeed, Morocco is participating for the first time in the evaluation exercise; only two States having the status of observer with CEPEJ have undertaken such initiative.
