CEPEJ pilot courts in the Republic of Moldova take steps to improve users’ satisfaction

Six pilot courts in the Republic of Moldova are implementing satisfactions surveys for court users, lawyers and court staff, as part of the courts’ strategy to improve the quality of judicial services. The National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova takes an active stance in the process of conducting the satisfactions surveys. From 1-4 November 2016, a satisfaction survey for lawyers was launched in the Chisinau Court of Appeal and for court users in the Rascani District Court of Chisinau Municipality. Both surveys are implemented through the interview method made by trainees and staff of the National Institute of Justice, on the basis of questionnaires recommended by CEPEJ experts and adapted to the needs of the pilot courts. The results of the surveys will be analysed by the end of 2016 and actions in response to the concerns or needs expressed by users will be implemented. The findings will be taken into consideration for the dissemination of good practices, and for a regular implementation of satisfactions surveys in all courts of the Republic of Moldova.
