On 1 March, Court Presidents presented their 2017 annual reports to the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC). On this occasion, the KoSEJ Action witnessed positive results of its cooperation with beneficiaries to improve their methodology to analyse and report on judicial statistics. The annual reports now include graphs on the yearly evolution, for the main categories of cases, of the Clearance Rate, which is one of the two key CEPEJ performance indicators to assess court efficiency. The graphs were presented and discussed in KoSEJ workshops organised for court staff in the framework of its court coaching programme. The KJC chairman tasked the Court Performance Unit to prepare graph templates to ensure consistency between all court reports and encouraged all Courts Presidents to prepare such graphs in future reports. This demonstrates the readiness of the KoSEJ beneficiaries to take ownership of the CEPEJ tools and use them properly and promptly.
