As part of its court coaching programme in Georgian courts, the CEPEJ conducted from 16 to 17 May 2024 a workshop to present and put in practice its backlog reduction tool in Batumi City Court. Statistical analyses carried out beforehand at the court enabled the experts to give a contextualised presentation of this practical tool.

The experts were thus able to propose tailor-made recommendations to the Court’s representatives and discuss with them the follow-up activities to be undertaken throughout the year to meet the challenges identified and improve court management practices.

Based on the recommendations, an action plan will be prepared by Batumi City Court in cooperation with the experts.
