A total of 60 participants, including around 50 English teachers from across Türkiye, came together to develop a new set of foreign language assessment materials for teachers, aligned with international standards, to strengthen foreign language education and assessment.
Over the course of five days, teachers developed assessment materials for teachers in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). With the support of national and international consultants, teachers strengthened their skills in language assessment and test design.
In parallel, the teachers finalised the K–12 assessment materials that will be used in the upcoming pilot study.
This activity is part of the Joint Programme on "Enhancing Foreign Language Education Quality in Türkiye", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe in close co-operation with the Ministry of National Education.
