Third Online HELP Kick-off Meeting

The third HELP Kick-off Meeting was held online on 13 December 2021 to announce the launching of the tutored HELP Courses on Procedural safeguards in criminal proceedings and victims’ rights; Reasoning of criminal judgements; Alternative measures to detention, which are translated into Turkish and adapted within the scope of the project.

The kick-off meeting was held with the participation of the HELP representative, HELP Tutors from the Justice Academy, in addition to the course participants.

The inclusive and comprehensive meeting was held with the participation of judges and prosecutors from different provinces of Turkey as course participants, as well as useful presentations by the tutors. 25 participants enrolled to the three tutored HELP courses, which will continue to be implemented for a duration of one month. The online HELP courses will attract increased numbers of legal professionals to enable them to increase knowledge and skills in the respective fields and, at the same time, apply them in their daily judicial work.

This online meeting was organised under the EU/CoE Joint Project “Strengthening the Criminal Justice System and the Capacity of Justice Professionals on Prevention of the European Convention on Human Rights Violations in Turkey”.
