Pilot Training on Pre-Service Training Module on Reasoning of Judgements and Cascade Trainings for Candidate Judges and Prosecutors

The pre-service training module on Reasoning of Criminal Judgments was piloted on 19 and 22 July 2022 at the premises of the Justice Academy of Türkiye with participation of 42 candidate judges.

In parallel, cascade training of pre-service training modules on Practices of Criminal Courts was conducted on 20 and 21 July 2022, with participation of 63 candidate judges, and also for pre-service training on Works of Prosecutors on 19 and 21 July with participation of 51 candidate prosecutors. An interactive method of training was undertaken through the use of relevant and practical case studies.

The training was delivered by experienced trainers of the Justice Academy of Turkey, who had previously received training by the Council of Europe in the scope of the Project. The Project aims to train 600 candidate judges and prosecutors in total through means of cascade training of the modules developed.

 

This activity was organised under the EU/CoE Joint Project “Strengthening the Criminal Justice System and the Capacity of Justice Professionals on Prevention of the European Convention on Human Rights Violations”.
