Pilot Training and Meeting on Pre-Service Training Modules on Peace Judgeship

A pilot training and meeting on pre-service training modules on peace judgeship were carried out in October 2022 in Ankara at the premises of the Justice Academy of Türkiye.

The pre-service training module on Peace Judgeship was piloted with the participation of 25 candidate judges. The training methodology was centred on interactivity through the analysis of relevant and practical case-law of the European Court of Human Rights and high courts in Türkiye in the format of a case study. A national consultant of the Project observed the methodology and provided follow up feedback to trainers.

Following the pilot training, a meeting was held on 14 October 2022 in order to revise the training modules. The meeting brought together the trainers who delivered the training to candidate judges, and the project’s national consultant. The group made revisions to the modules according to feedback and the piloting results.

This activity was organised under the EU/CoE Joint Project “Strengthening the Criminal Justice System and the Capacity of Justice Professionals on Prevention of the European Convention on Human Rights Violations”.
