Online Meetings with Pilot Courts Continue

Ensuant to the previous online meetings with five pilot courts that took place on 16-17 July, the first online meeting with Gaziantep 1st Administrative Court as recently designated pilot court was held on 10 September 2020 under the project on “Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Council of State”.

The purpose of the first kick-off meeting, which involved the president of the court, international and national consultants and the project team from Ankara, was to take a picture of the current state of affairs on issues as the workload and the structure of the court.

The focus was on the materials to be developed by all the pilot courts, with a special attention on the job descriptions and the workflow chart to be drafted by Gaziantep 1st Administrative Court in cooperation with Izmir Regional Administrative Court 3rd Administrative Litigation Chamber. Further collaboration opportunities and potential working methods were also discussed.

 

 

The Joint Project on “Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Council of State” is co-funded by the European Union, the Republic of Turkey and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe. The Turkish Ministry of Justice - Directorate General for Legal Affairs is the end beneficiary of the Project.
