Manuals and guidebooks on conciliation will be developed for  legal practitioners in Turkey

The preparatory meeting for developing new manuals and guidebooks on conciliation for judges, prosecutors, conciliators and staff of conciliation bureaux was held online on 7 December 2021 under the European Union-Council of Europe Joint Project on “Promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution in Turkey” with the participation of the Directorate General for Criminal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice (beneficiary), the Council of Europe project team and national and international consultants.

In the meeting, the scope of the activities and the timeframe was discussed. The meeting provided the opportunity for the beneficiary institution and consultants to come together and share their expectations regarding the activities to be carried out.

The Joint Project on “Promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Turkey” is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Turkey Directorate General for Criminals Affairs and Directorate General for Legal Affairs are the end beneficiaries of the Project. The Central Finance and Contracts Unit is the contracting authority.
