An online training on grant rules and procedures brought together over 100 representatives from civil society organisations (CSOs) across Türkiye. Participants received comprehensive, practical guidance on preparing and submitting grant applications, gaining essential skills to develop robust project proposals and ensure full compliance with application requirements.
The training was particularly important, as it directly supports CSOs seeking to secure newly launched grants under the European Union & Council of Europe Joint Programme “Fostering Civil Society Participation and Capacity Building in Access to Justice in Türkiye.” Up to ten projects will receive funding, focusing on expanding access to remedies, legal counselling, and information, as well as providing legal and other essential services in each of the three key areas: migration, environmental justice, and women’s access to justice.
Participants received step-by-step guidance on grant regulations and application procedures. Facilitated by programme staff, the training strengthened the ability of CSOs to successfully apply for and manage grants effectively, for maximising high-quality initiatives with tangible impact.
By empowering CSOs to navigate grant processes confidently, the training underlined CSO’s vital role in promoting access to justice and supporting vulnerable persons in Türkiye.
Interested CSOs registered and operating in Türkiye can find detailed information on the open calls for grants in the following areas:
Migration | Environmental Justice | Women’s Access to Justice
The Joint Programme “Fostering Civil Society Participation and Capacity Building in Access to Justice in Türkiye” is co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
