On 17-18 September 2024, the Improving International Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters (ICCM) project hosted two workshops in Ankara. The event was attended by 50 representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Directorate General for Foreign Affairs and European Union (DGFREU), along with judges and prosecutors.
The workshops focused on the newly established Bureaux for International Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters (CADIBs) in Türkiye, with the goal of informing members of the judiciary about the bureaus' activities and functions. In addition to the representatives from the Directorate General, the project’s national expert and the participants contributed to the workshops and held discussions on the working principles and activities of the CADIBs.
These workshops were the first of their kind, with two more planned for the future.
