Administrative Justice Project Interim Progress and Assessment Report Published

The “Interim Progress and Assessment Report”, the second in a series of three reports to be produced within the project on Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Council of State was published in September 2022. This Report provides an update on the ongoing review of the administrative justice system, on the progress of project achievements (outputs and outcomes), critical success factors, assessment of the data on gender balance within the administrative courts and the Council of State, and on the present position concerning the Road Map for an Improved Administrative Justice System 2020-2023 referred to in the “Initial Assessment Report” which was published in July 2020.

Both reports were prepared through visits, interviews, research, and analysis in close co-operation with the Ministry of Justice, Council of State, Council of Judges and Prosecutors, Ombudsman Institution and the pilot courts selected within the scope of the project.

 A Final Assessment Report will also be prepared at the end of the project.

 

EU-CoE Joint Project on Improving the Effectiveness of the Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the Council of State is co-funded by the European Union, the Council of Europe and the Republic of Türkiye, and implemented by the Council of Europe. The Turkish Ministry of Justice - Directorate General for Legal Affairs is the end beneficiary of the Project. The Central Finance and Contracts Unit is the contracting authority of this Project.
