2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the “Improving the Effectiveness of The Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of The Council of State” EU-CoE Joint Project on Took Place in Ankara

The progress achieved in examining the challenges to be addressed in the Turkish administrative justice system by the project “Improving the Effectiveness of The Administrative Judiciary and Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of The Council of State”, jointly funded by the European Union, the Council of Europe and Turkey, were in the focus of the second Steering Committee Meeting (SCM) held in Ankara on 26 November 2019. Representatives from the Council of State, the Turkish Constitutional Court, the Council of Judges and Prosecutors, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (the Directorate for EU Affairs), presidents and judges of first instance courts and RACs, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, the Justice Academy of Turkey, the Ombudsman Institution, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, the Central Finance and Contracts Unit and the Council of Europe exchanged views and recommendations on the past and planned activities acknowledging the progress achieved and the relevance of the project.
