| Group of specialists on assistance to victims and prevention of victimisation (PC-S-AV) |
| This Group of specialists discussed modern methods of assistance to victims and of prevention of victimisation. As a first step, the group focussed on victims of terrorist acts. It concentrated, subsequently, on the wider aspects of assistance to victims. The Group elaborated Recommendation Rec (2006) 8 on assistance to crime victims which sets out, inter alia, appropriate standards and principles in this area. This Recommendation was adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 14 June 2006. |
