The Committee of Experts on Access to Origins (CJ-OR) concluded its third meeting (24-26 March 2026) in Strasbourg, focusing on the draft recommendation regarding the rights of donor-conceived individuals to access their origins. The discussions were guided by feedback received from the European Committee on Legal Co-operation (CDCJ) and its Bureau, relevant case law from the European Court of Human Rights, and existing international standards. The Committee will continue its work to ensure a comprehensive and balanced approach taking into account the different interests at stake and the variety of national legal systems.
The 4th meeting of the CJ-OR will take place on 27-29 October 2026, in Strasbourg.
