Professional activities

(a) Present positions:

Director of the Swiss Federal Commission against Racism, Berne
Docent at the Universities of Applied Sciences Berne and Lucerne
Owner of Insight Intercultural Management

(b) Work at national level:

Mediator in institutional conflicts; works with the media and NGOs on questions of Human Rights, Racism, Xenophobia, Antisemitism and Islamophobia. Co-founder of an NGO specializing in these issues.

(c) International work:

Deputy Member of ECRI since 1998. Expert to the Swiss Foreign Ministry. Member of Swiss national delegations to the UN, OSCE, Council of Europe.

Publications and other works:

Recent publications on: racism on the Internet; how to monitor racism; racism in social work; review of the new dynamics in the fight against racism and for the protection of minorities in Europe within the last 15 years.

Language skills:

German (native speaker), English, French (fluent), Italian (medium), Spanish, Hebrew (basic).
