 The
second meeting of the Network of Pilot courts of the CEPEJ
took place in Strasbourg on 19 March 2007.
The CEPEJ has set up a Network composed of courts reflecting
the judicial situation in the member states. These
courts have initiated or plan to develop specific
measures to improve the functioning of the public
service of justice. The Network is due to enable the
CEPEJ to strengthen its works thanks to information and
comments provided by the judicial professionals who are
the main stakeholders of the measures designed by the
CEPEJ.
It is expected in particular that this Network contributes
to the promotion of innovative projects regarding the
reduction and management of lengths of proceedings,
quality of justcie and mediation.
The Pilot courts worked, in particular, in
commissions, along these three axes, as well as on the
evaluation of judicial systems.
