Recent developments in the judicial field
Report on “Efficient Judicial Systems in five Eastern Partnership countries” (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine) - March 2013 Reports on the implementation of the CEPEJ guidelines for judicial time management in 7 pilot courts / institutions (Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom) A reform of the district courts is being carried out, to widen the powers of the courts of first instance and provide a number of specialised judges. Lay judges have been introduced to deal with minor disputes. All the courts have been provided with new equipment.
