1st International Conference
„ADR – Possibilities of cooperation between Judiciary
and Economic Sector“

To mark the 10th anniversary of independent
work of the Court of Honour in the Croatian Chamber of
Trades and Crafts which represents one of two
professional bodies for alternative dispute resolution (ADR),
the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts organises the
Conference aiming at raising general and professional
public awareness of possibilities of alternative dispute
resolution through cooperation of judiciary and economic
sector (courts and mediation centers in business
associations) in Croatia, under the auspices of the
Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia.
The Conference will feature the participation of
respected experts in mediation and ADR from Croatia,
Great Britain, Netherlands, Slovenia and Italy and
partner chambers of the Croatian Chamber of Trades and
Crafts as well as from the countries of the region.
Participation of many high-ranking judiciary officials
(Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia, High
Commercial Court of the Republic of Croatia,
Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia, and
other), representatives of parliament boards for
judiciary and economy, representatives of business
associations (Croatian Chamber of Economy, Croatian
Employers’ Association), Government Office for Social
Partnership, Croatian Bar Association, NGO and other has
already been confirmed. The Conference will be opened by
Mr. Paul Vandoren, Head of Delegation of the European
Union to the Republic of Croatia.
