The
Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia on 23rd
October, 2009 is chairing a round table on the
„Experiences in application of the Free Legal Aid Act“ in order to celebrate the
European Day of Civil Justice. The Free Legal Aid Act,
in force as of 1st of February 2009, is aligned with the EU acquis as
well as the other key
International Legal Documents (i.e.
Article 6 para. 1 of the
European Convention on Human Rights,
Resolution (76) 5 on Legal Aid in Civil, Administrative
and Commercial Matters, Resolution (78) 8 of the Committee of Ministers of the
Council of Europe on Legal
Aid and Advice,
Directive of the European Commission 2003/8 and the
Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union
(2000/C; 364/01; Nice, 7/12/2000)).
The event will
consist of various sessions related to the topic
(experiences and comparative practice).
Different sessions will be run by
prominent field experts.
