Alain
Lacabarats entered the national legal service in
1975 and occupied the following posts:
- deputy public prosecutor
(1975-1984);
- auxiliary judge of the Court of Cassation
(1984-1988);
- Vice-President of the Paris Tribunal de grande
instance (1988-1999);
- President of a division of the Paris Court of
Appeal (1999-2004).
He was appointed as a judge of
the Court of Cassation in July 2004 and manages the
Court’s documentation and study centre.
He is also an associate senior
lecturer at the University of Paris XIII and a
mediator for the French National Olympic and Sports
Committee.
He has published various
articles and taken part in the preparation of
several works on civil procedure, press law and
sports law. Alain Lacabarats was President
of the CCJE from January 2004 to December 2005 and
is member of the Bureau since January 2007. |
