 Organised
by the CCJE and the Paris Bar Association, the European
Conference on the theme "How to better organise the
relations between judges and lawyers in order to improve
the provision of justice" took place in Paris, at
the Maison du Barreau (2, rue Harley - 75001 Paris -
Auditorium) on 7 November 2012. The results of this
Conference will be used as a basis of preparatory works
for the 2013 opinion to be adopted by the CCJE on the
same topic.

by the CCJE and the CCPE in co-operation with the "Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature" (ENM), the European Conference of
Judges and Prosecutors meet in Bordeaux (France)
from 30 June to 1 July 2009 on the theme "Exercise of the missions of judges and prosecutors : complementarity and/or autonomy". The results of this
Conference will be used as a basis of preparatory works for the
2009 opinion to be adopted by the CCJE and the CCPE on the
same topic.
Organised
by the CCJE in co-operation with the High Council of the
Judiciary of Italy and the European Network of Councils
for the Judiciary (ENCJ), the 3rd European Conference of
Judges was held in Rome on 26-27 March 2007 on the
theme "Which Council for Justice". The results of this
Conference were used as a basis of work for the
drafting of the 2007 CCJE opinion concerning the

The
2nd European Conference of Judges was held in
Cracow (Poland) during the Polish Chairmanship of the
Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on 25-26
April 2005. It was organised by the Council of Europe on
the instigation of the Consultative Council of European
Judges (CCJE), in collaboration with the Polish National
Council of Justice and with the assistance of the Polish
Ministry of Justice.
The
1st European Conference of Judges on the topic of "The Early Settlement of Disputes and the Role of Judges" took place in the Palais de l’Europe, Strasbourg on 24
and 25 November 2003.
