In Birmingham (United Kingdom), after the jubilee and before the EURO 2012 and London 2012 Olympics, the MARS European Media Forum brings together more than 60 media professionals
Focusing on ethics and editorial management, the 2nd MARS European Media Forum � Ethics & Editorial Management, co-organised by the Birmingham City University and the EFJ (European Federation of Journalists), was held from 6 to 8 June 2012. During these two days, media professionals were asked to build concrete tools and solutions to include diversity and non discrimination in the core values and ethics of journalism and media. Together with John Amaechi, former NBA player and New York Times columnist, this forum involved professionals from ARD (Germany), Ballesterer FM (Austria), BBC (United Kingdom), CCMC (Cyprus), DCTV (Ireland), El Mundo (Spain), France T�l�visions (France), ITN News (United Kingdom), LRT (Lithuania), Radio FRO (Austria) RAI (Italy), Time Out Lisbon (Portugal).
Objective
To allow prospective and in-service journalists and media professionals to include non discrimination and expression of diversity in their proper professional ethics and to consider non discrimination and expression of diversity as an ongoing angle of media coverage in editorial management.
