HEREINís cooperation in the Joint Programming Initiative on cultural heritage (JPI-CH)
HEREIN is cooperating in the
Joint Programming Initiative on cultural heritage (JPI-CH) which provides a framework within which member States and associated countries jointly address areas where public research programmes can provide responses to major societal challenges.
The Council of Europe, in its capacity as member of the Advisory Board, has been involved in the JPI-CH since 2011. The partnership template proposed by the Netherlands (acting as
"project manager" to increase collaboration with IGOs and NGOs) was presented by the Council of Europe Secretariat in June, confirming HEREIN as a partner. The JPI-CHís
"coordination and support action" which is backed up the European Commission is scheduled to end in March 2015, although the partners will look for ways to continue activities beyond this date.
