How to reach the city-centre from Brussels Airport
STIB Airport line – Bus 12 (express bus). A bus links the Centre and Brussels National Airport. Please note that after 20h and at week-ends, the bus to/from the airport becomes number 21. For further information, please check the STIB website.
Train. This links the city and the airport. The journey lasts about 30 minutes. Info: Tel (0)2 753 24 40 or (0)2 528 28 28. Going from the City to the Airport, trains can be taken from the following stations: North Station (Gare du Nord/Noordstation), frequent connections; Central Station (Gare Centrale/Centraalstation), frequent connections and South Station (known as Gare du Midi/Zuidstation): frequent connections.
Going from the Airport to the City, all trains stop at the above stations. The first train departs at 5.32 a.m. and the last train at 0.20 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the station.
Brussels South Airport (Charleroi)
Situated to the south of Brussels, approximately 60 km away, Brussels-South Charleroi airport mainly houses low-cost airlines.
How to reach the centre of Brussels from this airport
By bus: A bus links Charleroi Brussels-South and the Gare du Midi railway station in Brussels more than 20 times a day. The timetables are organised to coincide with Ryanair airline flights.
Departing from Brussels to Charleroi: the shuttle departure point is situated at the junction of rue de France and rue de l'Instruction (follow "Thalys" exit at the Gare du Midi station).
Departing from Charleroi to Brussels: Shuttle buses depart 30 minutes after the Ryanair airline flight arrives at the airport. For further information please consult the Shuttle bus website.
