As part of the Joint European Union-Council of Europe Child-friendly Justice Project - Children's Rights, multidisciplinary professionals gathered at the High Council of Justice in Brussels in November 2025 for a capacity-building session focused on the rights of children in migration context.
Through case studies, participants explored the psychological, legal, and practical vulnerabilities faced by children on the move, examining how guardians, protection services, psychologists, interpreters, and judicial actors can ensure migrant children’s access child-friendly procedures. Many reported that this module deepened their understanding of a field they were less familiar with and helped them develop tools to better support these children.
