The Division on Migration and Refugees (DMR) is the central coordination point for the migration-related work of the Council of Europe. Through its inter-secretariat Coordination Group meetings, it ensures that the Organisation’s efforts to protect the human rights of refugees are coherent, strategic, and rooted in the Council of Europe's standards.

This page serves as a one-stop overview of activities addressing migration and asylum across the Council of Europe. It showcases accomplished and ongoing work carried out by various entities of the Organisation, notably at the levels of standard setting, capacity building and cooperation, monitoring and implementation of standards aimed at supporting member States in addressing migration-related challenges. 

In parallel, the Division is mandated to provide advice and support to member States notably through reports and fact-finding missions.
