2nd Meeting of the Policy Lab for Inclusive Integration

The Policy Lab for Inclusive Integration held its 2nd meeting on 26 June at the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg.

The Policy Lab is an initiative to promote co-operation and co-ordination among local, regional and national authorities in the field of diversity management and inclusive integration. Participants are representatives of a selected number of Council of Europe Member States, local and regional authorities, and members appointed by other Council of Europe bodies including the Special Representative of the Secretary General for Migration and Refugees, the Commissioner for Human Rights, the Congress of Local and Regional authorities, the ECRI, the CDDG, and the Parliamentary Assembly.

The purpose of this meeting was to follow up on the conclusions of the first Policy Lab held in Lisbon in November 2017, and to review a “model” integration strategy in view of reaching agreement on the key principles and structure of national inclusive strategies, and start collecting operational elements that would feed that model with concrete actions. Participants also discussed multi-level governance of integration and define and agree on a roadmap, methodology, format and priorities for the future work of the Inclusive Integration Policy Lab.
