Monitoring visit to the international activity “PIL EQ Evaluation Seminar” of the JM International

On 11 and 12 December 2025, the European Youth Foundation conducted a monitoring visit to the third international activity “PIL EQ Evaluation Seminar,” organised by Jeunesse Musicale International (JMI) as part of its 2025 annual work plan “PIL!EQ.”

The training activity took place over four days, from 11 to 14 December 2025, in Brussels, Belgium, and brought together 17 young musicians and young people active in the music sector from ten countries. The activity aimed to promote inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility across the European youth within the music and cultural sectors.

Using non-formal education methods, including group work and facilitated discussions, participants strengthened their knowledge, skills, and capacities to identify and analyse inequalities affecting young people in the cultural sector, while exploring ways to empower young people through music and to support inclusive and diverse practices across the network. Participants also exchanged best practices and lessons learned throughout the implementation of the work plan, drawing particular attention on findings gathered through the project’s local focus groups, which contributed to a culture of continuous reflection, learning, and improvement. These outcomes will be consolidated into the IDEA Toolkit (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility Toolkit), as well as into guidelines and recommendations to be shared with a wider audience and relevant stakeholders.

The “PIL!EQ” project is supported by the EYF through a grant for an annual work plan.
