On 15 May 2020, the Council of Europe organised an online seminar for the legal staff of the Parliament on Effective execution of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) judgments at national level. The online seminar focused on working methods of the Committee Ministers of the Council of Europe, main problems identified in ECtHR judgments in respect of Georgia, execution status of the court cases and the role of the parliament in the implementation of ECtHR standards. Moreover, trainees had possibility to discuss the importance of easily accessible data on execution of ECtHR judgments and functionality of the Council of Europe HUDOC database.

The online session was organised within the Council of Europe project on “Supporting Parliamentary Oversight over the Execution of the European Court of Human Rights Judgments in Georgia”.
