On 17-20 February 2020 the first session of the leadership development programme “Strong Together: Partners’ Leadership” was held for leaders of the municipalities from Kyiv sub-region – members of the association “Kyiv agglomeration” and its potential partners.
The event was organised following recommendations of the Council of Europe Peer Review Report on Democratic Governance in Metropolitan Areas (focused on Kyiv Region).
The next two sessions will take place in March and June 2020.
Leadership development programme is based on the Council of Europe's Leadership Academy Programme course is an interactive training programme for public authorities of all levels that seeks to develop leadership for organisations, leadership for strategy and leadership for capacity building over 3 stages.
The training was organised by the Programme “Decentralisation and local government reform in Ukraine” jointly with the local government associations “Kyiv Agglomeration” and “Association of Ukrainian Cities”.
