The Centre of Expertise for Good Governance is supporting implementation of the National Training Strategy for local authorities in Cyprus. As part of this work, it will organise an online training of trainers on Performance Management, based on one of its specific toolkits. Performance Management is key to improving the quality of public services. It requires establishing a systematic approach towards identifying, collecting and using performance information to monitor the achievement of targets and milestones in the municipal plans and making public officials individually responsible for their delivery.

The training is organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Unions of Cypriot municipalities and communities, and the Cypriot Academy for Public Administration.

It will be followed by a series of trainings and capacity-building activities for local authorities.
