Non-judge staff of Albanian courts trained on CEPEJ tools on judicial time management

The action on Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania in co-operation with the High Judicial Council, completed a series of trainings on CEPEJ tools on judicial time management for 150 support staff of courts including chancellors, legal advisors and judicial secretaries, from all first instance courts of general jurisdiction in Albania.
Participants had the opportunity to become acquainted with the CEPEJ tools on judicial time management and their adoption and use in their daily work with the aim to further increase the efficiency of the courts. Special emphasis was given to the understanding and use of judicial statistics, within their respective roles, in monitoring timeframes and measuring performance aiming to reduce the length of proceeding and ensure timely judgements.
In addition, participants discussed good practices to improve court performance that are developed in the framework of the implementation of the new judicial map that will be further shared with the Court Councils and High Judicial Council.
The activity was organized in the framework of the European Union and Council of Europe Horizontal Facility III programme and its action on Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania (SEJ IV) which is supporting the justice governing institutions and courts in the implementation of the reforms aimed at increasing the efficiency and quality of justice system, based on the CEPEJ tools and methodologies.
