"Anti Discrimination Week" kicked off in Tirana with a Discussion Forum on the progress Albania has made in developing and implementing more comprehensive legislation on protection from discrimination and the fight against hate crime. The meeting was an opportunity to share the results of the last study "Political Participation of LGBTI People in Albania", and to discuss with around 100 participants from central and local governance, international organizations, equality bodies, experts, and civil society organisations about fulfilment of European standards and respect for international conventions on human rights.

The event was organised by Open Mind Spectrum Albania (OMSA), in collaboration with the Ministry for Health and Social Protection and with the support of the Joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022".
