Supporting capacity building for lawyers and legal professionals in North Macedonia through the web-platform of the Bar Association

A two day training of trainers has been held with the support of EU and Council of Europe joint action “Supporting enhanced access to higher quality Free Legal Aid services in North Macedonia to help future tutors to understand and own the use of the resource web-platform of the Bar Association. This unique web platform will serve for delivering the planned trainings to lawyers and Regional Offices of the Ministry of Justice in the field of free legal aid, domestic violence and justice for children.

The participants were trained on various aspects of the platform including creation of relevant courses on the Bar’s platform, how to interact with the trainees; how to create and upload relevant literature, presentations and materials etc.

The training was conducted by the Council of Europe consultant - Ms. Bojana Netkova, attorney at law and deputy member of the advisory board of the Bar Association Who delivered the training using practical exercises and step-by-step tools to help the trainers to gain the necessary skills for delivery of the planned trainings.

It is expected that the trainings for lawyers and Ministry of Justice employees through the use of the web platform are planned to start at the beginning of the next year.

This activity was organised in the framework of the Action on “Supporting enhanced access to higher quality Free Legal Aid services in North Macedonia”, which is part of the “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II”, a joint EU and Council of Europe programme implemented by the Council of Europe.
