The Ministers and high-level officials of MONEYVAL members and territories met on 25 April 2023 in Warsaw for their first high level meeting. During this meeting, they committed to improve the effectiveness of their regimes to prevent and fight money laundering, the financing of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction proliferation. On this occasion, they adopted  a Declaration  and MONEYVAL’s strategic priorities for 2023-2027 .

Ministers and other high level officials from MONEYVAL member and territories, the FATF, also agreed to enhance  MONEYVAL’s  monitoring programme, to develop MONEYVAL’s role as a reference point on AML/CFT implementation, to further strengthen its role in the FATF Global Network and with external counterparts, and  to provide additional funding and contributions to implement the newly adopted Strategy. Representatives of the FATF, the European Commission, the Conference of the Parties to the Warsaw Convention and the Egmont Group expressed their support in further deepening their relationship and co-operation with MONEYVAL in this context.
