ICC Expert visit to Izhevsk

On 19-20 February the ICC will carry out an expert visit to Izhevsk (Russian Federation), one of the cities that piloted the intercultural cities concept, back in 2008.

A representative of the Council of Europe and an independent experts will meet the Mayor and other city officials, as well as a wide range of local stakeholders in order to make an in-depth "diagnosis" of the city's needs in relation to intercultural policies and governance.

The programme of the visit also includes a presentation of the Intercultural city concept to representatives of public authorities and civil society, and visits to places of worship of different faith groups, schools and the State University.

The visit will further result in a report that will draw the “intercultural profile” of the city and which will be the basis of subsequent work.
