On 24-25 June the ICC will carry out an expert visit to Kirklees (United Kingdom), which joined the network at the end of 2018.

A representative of the Council of Europe and and independent experts will meet Councillor Pandor, Leader of Kirklees Council, as well as Jacqui Gedman, Chief Executive of Kirklees Council and other officials, as well as a wide range of local stakeholders in order to make an in-depth "diagnosis" of the city's needs in relation to intercultural policies and governance.

The programme of the visit also includes a presentation of the Intercultural city concept to different stakeholders and a participatory discussion based on the preliminary results of the ICC Index that will feed in the new Strategy and Action Plan that Kirklees is preparing.

The visit will further result in a report that will draw the “intercultural profile” of the city and which will be the basis of subsequent work.
