The Institute for Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Youth Brežice – YC Brežice, in partnership with the Council of Europe Youth Department, organised a training course the Value of Human Rights Education as part of the Human Rights Education Youth Programme.

 The training course supports the recognition of human rights education by developing key competences of multipliers working in regional and national youth centres, youth organisations, and educational institutions in Slovenia. With this intention, 20 youth workers, trainers and educators who have such motivation came to participate in this activity from 11 to 15 October 2023 in Youth Hostel Brežice.

Over the training course of 5 days, the participants discussed current challenges to human rights on national level, understood the variety of concepts and foundations of human rights education and explored the Compass activities, approaches for applying it in practice. As a follow-up of the training, the participants prepared their projects human rights education in Slovenia.
