In its report published today, GRECO concludes that the Czech Republic has made significant progress to improve the transparency of political funding, but regrets the lack of progress in implementing its pending recommendations concerning the criminalisation of corruption.
The report points out that Czech Republic has implemented nine of the thirteen recommendations contained in the Third Round Evaluation Report and that notable progress has thus been achieved by the Czech Republic.
In view of the progress achieved, GRECO concludes that the current level of compliance with the recommendations is no longer “globally unsatisfactory”.
GRECO asks the Czech Republic to submit to it by 30 September 2017 a report on the measures taken for the purposes of implementing the outstanding recommendations.
