Decision on a new grant for a pilot activity in the special call in support of young people from Ukraine

In October 2024, the Programming Committee on Youth approved one more project under the EYF special call in support of young people from Ukraine. This is a pilot activity to be organised by the NGO “Development and Initiative” in Dnipro, Ukraine. 

The project is called “Bridges to Europe” and addresses the disconnect among Ukrainian youth from European identity through a series of workshops and discussions around European values, on topics including democracy, human rights, environmental action, equality. There will be 6 thematic days organised during a period of 3 weeks, attended by a total of 35 participants. After the learning phase, participants are expected to implement follow-up events and to create a video.

To date, 43 projects have been awarded of  €652 215 in funding involving 3 516 people. 

The special call to support young people from Ukraine was launched in 2022 following the decision of the Council of Europe’s Joint Council of Youth. This initiative responds to the current needs expressed by the Ukrainian authorities and stakeholders in the field of youth.
