Based on needs identified following consultations with youth organisations and beneficiaries of EYF fundin, and further to the discussions in the Ad-hoc Working Group on the review of the EYF grants for International one-off activities and Annual work plans, the Programming Committee on Youth decided on a number of changes in the grants of the EYF at its 49th meeting on 15 – 16 June 2023 in Budapest. It was decided to adapt and increase the grant envelopes for International one-off activities, Annual work plans and Structural grants to compensate for the increased cost of goods and services and inflation which is having a severe impact on EYF funded projects and youth NGOs. The adaptation and increase will apply for all projects foreseen to be implemented in 2024, including awarded applications for international projects submitted by 1 April 2023.
The following changes will be introduced in the grants of the European Youth Foundation.
One-off international activity (IA) and annual work plan (WP) grants
It was decided to
- increase the maximum EYF grant from €20 000 to €25 000 for IAs and from €50 000 to €60 000 for WP
- allow applicant organisations to include up to 7% of the awarded grant for administrative costs and up to 10% of the awarded grant to cover staff costs for the project coordination
- increase the maximum percentage of VTR from 10% to 15% as co-funding for IAs and for the IAs within a WP.
Youth organisations whose application was awarded at the 1 April 2023 deadline will be contacted by the EYF Secretariat in relation to already introducing these changes in their proposals.
