The European Youth Foundation (EYF), in co-operation with the European Youth Forum (YFJ), organised in-person information sessions in Brussels, on 3-5 September 2025, gathering nearly 40 representatives of international youth organisations and networks.
The sessions aimed to familiarise participants with the EYF grant criteria and application process ahead of the upcoming deadline of 1 October 2025 for 2026 annual work plans, international activities and structural grants 2026-2027. The sessions also tackled the educational activities offered by the Education, Training and Cooperation division of the Council of Europe, including the activities in co-operation with the European Youth Centers in 2026 with the deadline 15 October 2025.
Beyond practical guidance and exchanges with the EYF team, the sessions provided opportunities to discuss the broader priorities of the youth sector. The specific topic of the workshops tackled the youth perspective and the upcoming reform of the EYF planned for 2026 as well as the role of the youth organisations in these processes. Participants also reinforced their knowledge in how to draft a qualitative application and shared good practices from international youth co-operation.
The information session also provided the opportunity for bilateral meetings, allowing youth organisations to discuss specific questions about current grants, reporting, future applications, or changes in projects.
This type of information session is part of the support measures offered by the European Youth Foundation to the international youth organisations.
