On 4 and 5 June, the EYF secretariat visited the YEPP camp “Women, leadership, politics” in Madrid, Spain.

The activity lasted for 4 days and involved 29 young people, mostly young women, and focus on promoting gender equality, reflecting YEPP’s commitment to inclusive youth leadership. The activity build participants’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding gender equality, political participation, and inclusive leadership, while fostering intercultural exchange across Europe. During the two days, participants learnt more about the Council of Europe’s work on political participation, youth, and gender equality. Recent standards of the Organisation were also introduced.

The activity was organised by the international organisation Youth of European People’s Party – YEPP, which unites 59 Centre-Right youth groups from 39 countries. YEPP work closely with the EPP and engage internationally, aiming to connect and train young leaders for Europe’s future. Their mission: drive European integration, stand by their principles, and shape the political discourse.
