EYF Field visit to the international activity “Libertas Bootcamp 2026” organised by the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC)

On 18 and 19 June, the EYF conducted a field visit to the “Libertas Bootcamp 2026” – a skills development training organised by the European Liberal Youth (LYMEC) in Brussels, Belgium.

The four-day training gathered 12 young participants from 11 countries with an overall objective to develop knowledge and skills in research, fact checking, effective writing, and media literacy, prompting participants to reflect on how media influences young people’s sense of identity and expression.

Through workshops and interactive sessions held by investigative journalists, fact-checkers, and human rights defenders, young participants will be supported to write their own liberal stories, that will be published in the Libertas online magazine by LYMEC.

The European Liberal Youth, (LYMEC), is a pan-European youth organisation seeking to promote liberal values throughout the EU as the youth organisation of the ALDE Party and the Renew Europe parliamentary group in the European Parliament.
Their central aim is the creation of a liberal and federal Europe, and they do this by advocating for freedom, democracy, equality and human rights everyday, by spreading values and policies to create a European liberal future for the youth and to ensure that their voices are heard.

This training was possible with EYF support through a grant for a one-off international youth cooperation activity.
