Training on Peculiarities of Administrative Proceedings was conducted for Political Finances Monitoring and Legal Departments of the State Audit Office of Georgia

30 June – 1 July, an online training on Peculiarities of Administrative Proceedings was conducted for the staff of the Political Finances Monitoring and Legal Departments of the State Audit Office of Georgia. The Council of Europe expert, a judge at the Supreme Court of Georgia, introduced the participants to the various problematic theoretical and practical aspects of the existing legal framework and practices. Special emphasis was made on analysing the court practice and working on practical exercises. Participants were reminded of GRECO’s recommendations on transparency of political finances that are still to be implemented by the Georgian Government. The training aimed to improve the operations and efficiency of the State Audit Office in the context of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The training was organised within the framework of the Council of Europe Project “Supporting Transparency, Inclusiveness and Integrity of Electoral Practice and Process in Georgia”.
