At their 1533rd meeting, on 3 July 2025, the Ministers’ Deputies examined the Secretary General's report on the human rights situation in the territories of Ukraine temporarily controlled or occupied by the Russian Federation. They will continue their discussion next week.
The Deputies held their first exchange of views with Ms Conny Rijken, President of the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) and took note of the Group’s general activity report for 2024 [more information].
They also held an exchange of views with Mr Theodoros Rousopoulos, President of the Parliamentary Assembly, on the outcome of the 3rd part of the Assembly’s 2025 Session (Strasbourg, 23-27 June 2025) [more information].
In addition, the Deputies decided to submit to the Parliamentary Assembly the candidature of Dr Despina Chatzivassiliou for appointment to the post of Secretary General of the Assembly, for a five-year term starting on 1 March 2026.
